Yuriy’s story is the epitome of the American Dream. Born and raised in Europe, he immigrated to the United States in 1991 with only a few hundred dollars in his pocket and a dream of a better life. Little did he know, he would go on to build a successful construction company that specializes in bathroom remodels, kitchen remodels, full home remodels, and new home construction.
Yuriy, who had always been involved in the field of construction, moved to the United States with limited English skills and no connections. To support his family financially, he began working odd construction jobs. Despite the challenges of navigating a new country, Yuriy’s passion for construction remained unwavering, and he knew he wanted to continue working in the industry in the United States.
After gaining valuable experience working for other contractors and homeowners, Yuriy decided to start his own business in 2003. He began small, taking on remodeling projects for friends and family. With his expertise and attention to detail, word quickly spread, and his business began to grow.
Paliy Renovation, which Yuriy named after himself, became known for high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. Referrals poured in, and soon the company was completing larger and more complex projects across Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR.
Even through the 2008 recession, Yuriy’s business not only survived but thrived. While many struggled, homeowners continued to invest in remodeling, and Yuriy’s team delivered results that carried them through tough times stronger than ever.
As Yuriy’s sons grew older, they too were drawn to the business. With the same commitment to quality and reputation for excellence, they helped the company expand its services and strengthen its name in the Pacific Northwest.
Today, Paliy Renovation is one of the most respected remodeling companies in the region, having completed hundreds of successful projects over the past 20+ years. The company is built on craftsmanship, trust, and a customer-first approach. But the story doesn’t end there.
One of Yuriy’s sons, Ben, decided to take the family legacy even further. Wanting to raise his family in paradise (because who wouldn’t want to live in Hawaii?), Ben moved to the Big Island and founded Pacific Builds. This new chapter carries forward everything the Paliy family built their reputation on—craftsmanship, honesty, and customer care—while bringing it to a new community.
Pacific Builds now serves homeowners from Waimea down to Captain Cook, offering custom kitchen and bathroom remodels designed for island living. Backed by the decades of experience and values passed down through Paliy Renovation, Ben and his team are committed to bringing the same quality of work and customer satisfaction to the people of Hawaii.
